FT-IR Testing Services
Air Tox utilizes a Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) continuous gas analyzer for low-level detection of multiple gas species. Application options of our FT-IR CEMS sampling include diesel engine and catalyst monitoring, selective catalytic reduction performance monitoring, and stack emissions monitoring. Our FT-IR is commonly used to meet our clients' Ammonia RATA test requirements by generating real-time ammonia measurements. This enables clients to be aware of their RATA results before the end of the test program, rather than waiting a few weeks for the final lab analysis.

Our FT-IR CEMS is easily mobilized on-site within our testing laboratory. The measurement technique of FTIR spectrometry is used to measure some of the following analytes: NH3, CO, CO2, formaldehyde, HCl, HF, Methane, NO2, NOx, SO2 and % moisture. ASTM Standard D6348 is used for ammonia measurement. Sample flow rate, system pressure, and temperature are continuously monitored throughout each test program by the FT-IR CEMS.
