CEM System Certification & Quality Assurance Programs
In addition to our CEMS installation services, Air Tox performs CEMS certification testing. This provides each customer with a fully operational and certified CEM System upon completion of the new CEMS or CEMS upgrade project. Air Tox also provides certification testing on CEM systems installed by other manufacturers in accordance with Federal and State regulations.
CEM Certifications are performed after the system has been installed and operated on-line for a shakedown period of at least 30 days. During this operational period, the calibration drift checks and percent of valid data capture will be checked and recorded. After the process is completed and approved, Air Tox performs the Calibration Drift Check, Cycle Time Response test, and
the Relative Accuracy Test Audit (as applicable) using US EPA Reference Methods. As part of the CEMS certification process, Air Tox provides the following:
- A Pre-Installation Protocol discussing the system components & sampling methodologies
- A Pre-Test Protocol describing the certification test procedure suitable for submission to the respective State environmental regulatory agency
- A Quality Assurance Manual prepared according to US EPA and State requirements for CEM System operations
An operations manual for the system is submitted to customers to complement a CEMS training session and can be used as a reference to all CEMS operations.
